We are looking for postdoctoral researchers to join our growing lab . If you are passionate about research in environmental sciencemicrobiologychemistryecologycontaminantsmicrobiome–chemical interactionsmicrobial biodiversity, or AI applications in environmental microbiology and chemistry, and are excited to work in an interdisciplinary, collaborative environment, you are warmly encouraged to apply.

Pursuing these not only helps polish your own research vision and independence, but also provides valuable flexibility and support for your work. If you have an idea in mind or need help preparing an application, I would be very happy to discuss and support you. Please email Dr. Yu with the following application materials combined into a single PDF:

  • A one-page motivation letter, describe your research interests, long-term career goals, scientific vision, expected start time. If you are currently doing your Ph.D., please also indicate your graduation time.

  • A 2-page research plans for a two year period. Outline the project you would like to pursue during your postdoc, how it aligns with the group’s overarching goals, and how it will support your future career development.

  • Your CV, Include your educational background (in reverse chronological order), research and professional experience, and a full list of publications. Please also include links to your Google Scholar profile and ORCID account.

  • Samples of 2 of your most exciting publications (main text, SI is not needed) and include a short paragraph for each explaining your roles and contributions to the paper and how the work contributes to the broader field.

  • Transcripts. Unofficial transcripts (in English) for all undergraduate and graduate (M.S. and Ph.D.) studies are acceptable for the initial application.

  • Contact information for 3 referees. Please include the names, affiliations, and email addresses of three referees, including your Ph.D. and the most recent academic supervisor. If any of them is not included, briefly explain why, and indicate how each referee can speak to your qualifications and potent.
